The Baby room is registered for 6 children aged 0 - 2 years, and there are 2 staff who work in the baby room.
The children are allocated a keyworker when they start the nursery and this keyworker will be responsible for planning suitable activities that cater for the individual needs of the children.
The children in the baby room are encouraged to explore their area to develop their learning in all areas. They do lots of fun activities such as painting and sticking, singing and story time and outside play.
The main room is registered for 11 children aged 2 - 4 years and there are 4 staff that work in this room.
The room is divided into different areas such as book corner, role play and messy area so that the children can explore at their own pace. Staff are on hand to support children should they need it.
Group activities and individual activities take place to enable staff to document each child's development daily.
The nursery has it's own small garden on site, where the children go out to play on a daily basis. We have a range of equipment for the children to use like bikes, slides and a mud kitchen.
Parents are requested to bring in lunch for their children (if they attend during the morning session).
Nursery will provide the other meals and snacks i.e. Breakfast, Morning and afternoon snacks.
Breakfast is a choice of cereal, which the children self serve. On offer for morning snack there is breadsticks, rice cakes, Melba toast or dutch crispbakes with a selection of fruit. Afternoon snack is on a 2 weekly menu where we have sandwiches, beans on toast, crackers and cheese and wraps with a variety of fillings. We also have a selection of different puddings such as yoghurt, jelly and fruit.
Nursery also provides either water or milk at snack times and water at lunchtime.
Within nursery we use Teachermate to document your child's development. Parents have access to their child's profile and can see what observations the staff have completed on their child throughout the week.
